Bogumil Pilecki is PhD from University of Warsaw, in Poland.

He joined the Department of Astronomy like postdoctoral researcher.

Dr. Bogumil Pilecki is working in the Araucaria Project on the improvement of the calibration of the cosmic distances scale. Also, he studies eclipsing binaries variable stars.
