Dr. Christian Moni-Bidin, made his degree at the Università di Padova in Italy in 2003 and his PhD at the University of Chile in 2008 with the thesis "Vertical kinematical and Chemical Structure of the Galactic Thick Disk."

His research interests are stellar spectroscopy, applied to the study of stellar populations and star clusters.

 

 
   
 

With his thesis began studying hot horizontal branch stars in globular clusters. Then, in her PhD expanded his research area to chemistry and kinematics of the Galactic disk.

In the Department of Astronomy UdeC, Dr. Moni-Bidin is also in charge of organizing the astronomy seminars
