Dr. Dariusz Graczyk studies the extragalactic distance scale. His research also includes the binary and variable stars.

He obtained his M.Sc. in Astronomy in 1996, and his Ph.D. in Astronomy in 2003. These academic degrees are of the Uniwersytet im. Kopernika Mikołaj in Torun, Poland.

He works as postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Astronomy at the Universidad de Concepcion, since 2009.
