Paulina Assmann studies the formation of dwarf spheroidal galaxies and numerical simulations. Her research includes formation scenarios dwarf spheroidal galaxies, globular clusters and formation of thick disk of the Milky Way.

Her doctoral thesis supervisor is Dr. Michael Fellhauer, and the co-tutor is Dr. Mark Wilkinson of the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.
