Dr. Tjarda Boekholt

Tjarda Boekholt obtained his Ph.D. from Leiden University in Leiden, Netherlands.

Tjarda Boekholt uses numerical simulations to study a variety of astronomical systems. He is interested in N-body dynamics and the role of chaos in the evolution of a dynamical system. He also uses the Astrophysical Multi-purpose Software Environment (AMUSE) to couple gravitational dynamics, hydrodynamics and stellar evolution codes into one multi-physics simulation, in order to study dense stellar systems.
